Research Advisors

Help the Aged is advised by senior academics, policy experts and scientists in all aspects of its research strategy and policy (see our section on Standards for details). This includes the Research Advisory Council which advises on biomedical research (Research into Ageing).

In addition we have established working relationships with national leaders in all fields on ageing research, including the National Director of Older People's Services, the Director of the National Collaboration on Ageing Research and the Director of the Oxford Institute of Ageing. Internationally, we collaborate with the Head of Ageing Focus at the United Nations, the President of the International Association of Gerontology and the Director of the International Federation of Ageing. We collaborate with the British Geriatric Society and the British Society of Gerontology and the British Council on Ageing. We chair the Funders' Forum on Ageing Research.
