Research into Ageing's (RiA) mission is to fund biomedical research to improve understanding, diagnosis, prevention, management and treatment of the health problems and diseases of later life. We support basic, clinical and epidemiological biomedical research relating to ageing. We encourage research in under-researched areas such as incontinence and the ageing auditory system.
Our funding strategy and selection process is designed to ensure that the money we raise has the greatest possible impact on the ageing research field and for older people. We fund a range of research projects and research capacity-building grants, including PhD Studentships, Research Fellowships, and, jointly with the BGS, Clinical Fellowships. Our 2010 grant round is now closed. 2010 award decisions will be made in July. Please visit this site again or contact us for information on our next grant round. Grant-holders must adhere to our current Terms and Conditions (pdf). Follow the links below to find out more about: |
