Biomedical Research – Research into Ageing Research into Ageing supports high-quality biomedical research into ageing, including the biology of cellular ageing and the most common health problems affecting older people, including neurodegeneration, cognitive decline, bone and joint conditions, sensory loss, wound healing, muscle wasting and stroke. We presently have a special initiative to promote research into incontinence. Applications for cancer research will not be considered, nor do we consider policy, social, or health service evaluation. Find out about the types of research grants currently available. Proposals are judged according to their scientific merit and relevance to our aim of improving the health of later life. View details of our selection procedure. To find more details on the current biomedical research programmes search our database of current research.
